But you, dear friends, build yourselves up in your most holy faith and pray in the Holy Spirit. Keep yourself in God's love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life. Jude 1:20-21

We must remember to be careful and to honour Him, even as we spend time together, for He is the One who weaves lives together best. We must also be careful to not take our eyes off the Lord and only look to each other, for it would grieve Him. We must all eagerly desire God's goodness for us, and trust in His deep, everlasting love for us, and concern for us.
Now I go into the time of learning to treasure, cherish and protect a sister and a daughter of our Father.

Over the Public Holiday, I teamed up with Zicong at the gym, and it was very good to have reunited to exercise, and see how each other has grown in the Lord over the past 3 years.
He asked me a question over lunch, on whether I was for evangelism and if I found it difficult to bring people to church.
I told him I didn't like what was being done by those who do evangelism this way, because in doing this they were selling church culture and not the Gospel.
And the church of today is far below the Biblical standard, almost powerless, and heavily impacted by the world's culture. We need to examine the state of the Christian church today, and compare it with the New Testament. Where is the power of the church to impact the community? Where is the power of the Spirit?
We must not be in a hurry to catch people. The Spirit of God is the one who prepares human hearts for the Word of God to be seeded and grown. If we move ahead of time and without wrestling in prayer, and without His Spirit, we will hinder the person.
I think our method should first be to live out the Gospel, preach the Gospel and pray. We need to disciple others.
How much of the Gospel of Christ have we really heard, and how much of the Person of Christ and the character of God do we know.
Bringing people into buildings to sit under the pulpit is of little use, if they are not hearing the gospel and seeing the power of God move in human lives.
What do we use to draw people in? Music, dancing, excitement or the Gospel?
If we give everything other than the Gospel, we are misrepresenting our Christ, for this is the only thing that is of importance. Men come to hear and know the way to be saved.
The disciples of Christ are characterized by our love for one another. It is a different and higher kind of love, that not all of us may have the strength to show. The church community needs to love all its members and practice this broad love on others who are beginning to hunger for truth. There is a need for pliable men who are submissive to God, whose lives become evidences of God's work.
People who come with improper expectations are turned away, but those who come with the genuine thirst that our God and Saviour came to satisfy will also be disappointed and go away thirsty, with no solution to their soul's panting.
We must be careful for we are dealing with human souls that He loves very much. We are accountable to Him for how we build up His people or damage the faith of others and stunt their growth.
For those brothers and sisters who are excited at the goodness of God, instead go into the Word and root yourself in truth and pray for understanding of His message of salvation, that Christ worked to bring to the world, and was promised to Abraham so long ago.

Romans 12: 19-21
19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” 20 To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” 21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

I tided over the brief weekend by trying to assauge the wanderer in my blood, with infrequent excursions to the wide outdoors.
Saturday I couldn't stand being at home and labelled it my slack day.
Went out for a run to Changi Village with my kid sister bicycling beside. It's actually quite a long run, by normal standards. Can only remember running that route 4 times in my life.
The first was when I was Sec 3 or 4 I think. Ran to about less than half, turned and then walked back.
Number 2 was when I was AQ Team Captain and I made everyone run from the edge of Chang Village back to the hill up Anglican High School, about 10 kilometres plus. Bloody hell long. I think most of them still remember when we did that. We lay down on the concourse for an hour before we could move?
The third time was last year when I ran by myself from house to the market. Took what? 28 mins I think. That was very slow.
Yesterday I ran topless again under the sun. It felt pretty good to do that, and I was going at a nice pace. I let the stupid things that were bugging me hiss out of my system and finished the route. Was trying to impart to my sister the virtue of 'completing what you set out to do'.
Reached and then went to the beach look at the scenery, and was quite cheered up.
It was a brilliant day, sun, clouds and sea. We went on the board walk trail leading from the Ferry Terminal to the edge of the Chalets. It was a very long walk/ jog, but the beauty of the sea, sky and sun negated the soreness in my limbs.
Only regrets were that I didn't have my camera phone with me, and that I was with my sister.
Da-amn.
Came back from gym just now with Kah Kee and Zicong.
We had our dinner at the Interchange food place as usual and talked about women.
Zicong and I were plenty amused by KK's silly questions on how to woo a girl, what to say to her, how and what to talk to her on the phone and he made us assess his credentials. ZC said that KK's chances were low with this girl that he was harping on. KK also said some really crazy funny stuffs about CR and also about girls in general. He said that he might need a lecture or tutorial in wooing women. That got us laughing a lot.
We confessed our similarities in being rather obsessed with netball girls and dancers. These are the most desirables, Oh heavens.
We wondered about the dynamics of a love relationship and examined couples around us, trying to figure out the leap to emotional and physical closeness from being distant and different people. Can't explain it. The connectivity isn't that tangible. But we agreed that the best relationships are based on friendships.
Came home to an empty house; everybody was out to help my uncle get ready for his new baby, the promising Daren Choong.
I think I will train him to become a warrior.
Found this rather amusing sign just only.

General Paper tomorrow. I think I'm treating this whole affair too lightly.
Are you aching for a mention of you in my blog like I do in yours?

Want to be fully chiselled by OGL camp for emotional interest (E.I.); that means more pounding pavement. Have developed a dread for the treadmill in the gym. Don't know why. Haven't ran on it for a month now. Must get over it.
Some of the new found difficulties are probably birthed from a long absence from the gym and also the injury inside my shoulder, or is it back? Don't know. It still isn't operationally ready. It still is hard for my right hand to reach for my left shoulder.
Thank God for Derek's company at Tampines gym yesterday. I read his blog just now. Buddy, you're not a burden. You made me complete my routine nicely. Without you, I wouldn't have been able to lift so heavy. And yesterday was valuable. The timely arrival of a great friend steered me into my routine. Which I was scared of. Training with a buddy is best.

He reminds you of what you have to do, and he spurs you into not running away from it.
I really needed Derek's companionship and his help at the gym. And also, a bunch of netball girls from your secondary school present also helps to ready you for the macho posturing.
It was a fruitful day, and also had a sweet talk with Derek about chinese mothers and girls and from this point on . all else is confidential. admitted to him who was my emotional interest today.

Every guy needs a girl to think about sometimes. A face to smile at just before sleep pulls us in; a hand to think about holding, and lips to dream about not just at night, but every waking minute.

I've found such a girl now.
Thank you Jesus.

Rendition
Rendition: a controversial practice of the CIA in the removal or handing over of terrorism suspects, often to a detention facility where they will be brutally tormented until they 'confess' they are terrorists (Wikipedia, "Rendition (film)",2007).
'Government is authorized to transfer anyone they think might be a terrorist to prisons outside the U.S.'-Trailer.

This is one movie that really makes me pissed at Singapore's Censorship Board. It's been given a M18 rating locally, and obviously, you must be of age to be able to watch it in theatre, which is atrocious. In the United States, dammit, its 14A. Meaning 14-year-olds can stroll into the cinema and plainly watch the movie. Whereas, in Singapore, we must first blow out 18 candles on a cake and then, bring our IC to the cinema and show it to the people there before we can plainly watch the movie. Screw Censorship. It's not sexual, and its probably like that 'cause of the dark theme and violence. (Mature Content).
-.-
Censorship is aimed at protecting the sanctuary of young minds, unprepared for the brutality of humanness that these youngsters would inevitably come to exhibit one day. It makes sense not letting 13-year-olds see naked women in theatre, but it doesn't when it disallows shoot'em up films and let Chinese 'The Banquet' which is incredibly bloody, air.
And there is scant difference between 17 and 18. And I'm only 4 months from that age dammit. And they don't let me watch that film when I've already seen '300' and 'Borat: Cultural Learnings of America to Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhastan' on my own. I'm itching to watch this film! 2007 is a year of great movies-'Transformers', 'Secret' and now this.
I am now searching for a loophole in the law. Tell me if anyone of you have uncovered it. And wearing your father's old Army grey t-shirt don't work dude; it don't count as one method.
A bit riled today, but- Yesterday's Gym work was excellent. Chest, Shoulders and Triceps. Hurting in the right places. Went there at 1:38 pm after the 4 hour consultation with Ms Sophia Koh. That was a marathon. Anyway, gym. Like the way the weights are pushed off my chest while doing the Bench Press. The perceived most manly exercise. And the big weight plates on each side. Waaa. Happy. Switched to a heavier weight for the shoulders. Another reason to be happy. Endured through the treadmill. Getting more and more difficult recently. Probably because I upped the speeds.

Statistics from yesterday: Weight: 74.60 KG. (A shocker. Don't know where the pounds have gone. I've been sedate most of the week. Not eating?)
Burned 223 calories on the treadmill in 15:00 mins and ran nearly 3 km. Forgot the rest. Not fantastic, but decent. Just keeping records here. Don't think my audiences give a damn.
Went back to MJC to continue with PW. Reached after 4:30, after a satisfying meal at Eastlink Foodcourt. The class had relocated to C 4-2 and a good many groups were still there. Helped entertain Hui Min, if I couldn't work on the WR personally, and dueled Hakim in PikaBall (Pikachu Volleyball). Didn't lose that badly considering he and Jeremy are the Elite Four status figures in class. 15-10.

Ms Koh was still at it, chionging our WRs. She spent 4 hours with each group and was still with the 2nd group when I went back. Really awed by her. She barely ate, and was still at it since 8 plus in the morning. She stayed until after 10 at night I think. Really respect, yo. And like her too.
But while we guys were bored, we decided to do something stupid. Me, Hakim, Jeremy, Jay. Jeremy first said he wanted to go toilet. So I said I was going too, and so was Hakim. Jay also got on. We walked and then collectively got a stupid idea to use the girls' toilet. So we crept to the lit toilet and I called out in a 'girl' high-pitched voice 3 times: "Is anybody in there? Is anybody in there?"
There was no answer, so I thought the coast was clear. Then I jumped in and said I was gonna run in and touch the wall deep inside the toilet. I ran in and Jeremy was behind me. I was nearly at the wall and I turned to look behind me, and a girl was at the mirror, staring at us. Jeremy saw me looking and we were so shocked that there was still a girl inside. WTF. We chiong out of the toilet and jeremy and I ran to the Boys' Toilet to laugh our asses off. We rolled on the floor of the Boys' Toilet laughing like siao for about 1 min, I think. It was so frigging funny. We waited for a while, before going back.
We later apologised to her. She was a J2, we found out. And she said this, "you all very childish".
And it was true. We are childish.
But it was fun. Everybody should try it. HA!
Have an OGL interview later. Have to charge up my charms and impress. I do want to be an OGL badly. It was fun when I did it in Council in AHS (We won best OG). One of the best experiences in that old place. Hopefully, I'll relive it on a similar form in Meridian.
Meridian's a great place. But a place isn't great by itself. It's mostly 'cause of the people inside. Nobody's paid me to advertise my college. But I'll do it anyway. Come on over aliens, and work our havoc together in Orientation I 2008. It'll be fun. I think we can promise that.
I'm leaving to claim reimbursement for my publicity efforts here.
Adieu.

IN NEED OF APT TITLE
Promotional Exams is a huge blow.
Tomorrow's Biology Grand-Reveal will be decisive. Pass it and I'm JC2 next year, flunk it and I'm gonna be...
That's not a cheerful thought. I've failed the typical papers that the large population has also done badly in, so I'm the norm. That isn't cheerful either.
My status: Precarious.
But whatever it is, I am thankful for God's grace and His mercy.
And Mr. Oi's last minute guidance. It's interesting to note that whenever I enlist his mighty assistance, I do OK.
Retainment isn't far away from my person yet. So I remain cautious.
But we still worry about things that are out of our control. Can't help it.
At least I'm getting back in shape.
Getting back in the gym to resume the workout was hard. And now that I'm working towards the massive size and weight of 78 kgs, I have to go hard and heavy.
The first time back in there was difficult. The simple abdominal routines pained me before I even started lifting any thing heavier than a pencil box. I'm amazed I didn't give up.
Have been gyming totally for the whole of last week and will do so as long as circumstances permit. I'm never abandoning the workout again. Do not ever abandon your workout or shun the gym. It is a good way of building strength, speed, power and muscle. Yeah.
And gymwork does not stunt your growth, for pubescent kids. Ya.
I'm on track so far, from last week's 74.64 kgs to 75.15 kgs.
It's the weight that I was at Sec 4, but I feel more powerful, stronger and faster than then. The composition of my mass has changed. Less fat by a lot. Happier in the mirror now. But these pursuits aren't simply superficial.
This is for Xing Kai and my other BB juniors who're interested in training and looking good-
Men who are brawny are less likely to die from impacted injuries than their skinny counterparts (Men's Health, September 2007).
I need the strength and power in Karate. Asian and Singaporeans aren't heavyweights unless-is there an unless?
Learned:
- Weilin comes up with a lotta nonsense.
- There are times when getting our butts down to do a task is hard. That kinda feeling sucks. But looking back a bit later, the wrenching regret is a more sucky feeling. So plough through and do it!
(eg. MJCians are feeling this through the week. My BB Boys, when you don't have the guts to walk up to that cute girl you fancy and get to know her, and then miss that chance, ending up never knowing her. Or missing a ticket to Japan.) Keep moving forward!
- Er. Teachers are deceptive. Believe less than half of what they say. Except for Mr. Choo. The rest, regard it with the highest suspicion. My Chemistry paper is testament.
- Government or secret services are highly paranoid. They are probably sieving through our files and viewed documents right now. So stop visiting your porn sites kids. Maybe you can try typing sensitive words and see if they come knocking on your door. keywords like 'LKY', "Lee Hsien Loong", Osama, Terrorist. CIA. And the like. It'll be amusing. And it'll expose them for pervading our privacy, that many believe to be a right. An infringed right now. But who cares even if Big Brother's watching?
- ?
Credits:
- Thanks be to God. Naturally.
- Hui Min, Amanda and Rebecca's tolerance for me being a laidback PW member.
- Jeremy's help in the Gym on Monday. I would not have stuck through with my regime.
- Derek's companionship and in lending me money when I'm broke. I love him.
- Hakim's Star Wars Novels.
- Andrew and Jay's humour. Got them damn fun.
- A host of friends that I've not blatantly stated.
My musings aren't generally applicable. It's my navigation site and where I listen to the music pieces that I currently like, and to rebuke, abuse and scold the scums that I have the misfortune of meeting. I risk sounding gay often. I'd like to take this time to express my distaste, disgust and utmost dislike for homosexuals. They are deluded abominations. Sorry, but I don't like them. If you happen to be one, see a doctor. Or get far away from me, or I'll sock you. And I use this to hint at my political alleigiance and my beliefs-religious or philosophical.
And since a passer-by has asked, I'd like to declare: I'm single and looking. LOL.
I love Hakim, Derek and a whole lot of guys, but I'm a girl-liking guy. And I'm not looking for a girlfriend. Past that. Looking for the girl that I love and loves me; that will spend the rest of our lives together. I'm a romantic. Piscean. Can't help it. Am training to not bother about things I can't help with.
I've spent the day in college, getting back apalling papers, watching "Secret" for the 11th time in college, got more papers and came home, watched star wars vids on youtube. The end of exams also means a loss of direction.
Au Revoir.
